After a two-year hiatus, the Australian Good Design Awards in-person ceremony was back this year, hosted by media personality Debirah Knight who announced the winners on Friday (16 September).
King Living won awards in the Product Design category for the Kato Sofa, designed in partnership with Founder David King and Senior Designer and Continual Improvement Manager Tanya Rechberger, and for the King Cove Sun Lounge and Quay Dining Table, both designed by Senior Designer Alinta Lim.
With outdoor living spaces becoming increasingly important during the global pandemic, the team were delighted to have an outdoor product recognised in the growing collection.Senior Designer Alinta Lim who conceptualized the King Cove Sun Lounge shared how the inspiration for this design was a responsible lifetime trend.
The brand has won a host of awards over the years for design excellence in a range of categories. This win follows on from last year where the team took home Good Design Awards for the Fluer Sofa and Vertio Wall System.
As King Living continues to expand into global markets, finding new inspiration and exploring lifestyle trends ensure the team can continue forming award-winning design ideas that translate on an international level.
