Under Armour has unveiled the UA SlipSpeed Mega, a cutting-edge trainer that combines performance and everyday wearability. Engineered with UA Flow cushioning for an ultra-lightweight feel, Iso-Chill technology for cool comfort, and the BOA® Fit System for a personalized fit, this shoe is designed to adapt to any activity.
A standout feature is the “crushable” heel, allowing users to effortlessly switch between training and casual modes.
The launch event at Starhill Piazza in Kuala Lumpur showcased the shoe’s versatility. Attendees, including actors Andy Teh, Imran Aqil, and singer Isaac Voo, experienced the UA SlipSpeed Mega firsthand. Local graffiti artist Abdul Rashid of Abdulrashade Studio contributed to the celebration with a vibrant mural inspired by the shoe’s design. Rashid also customized two limited-edition pairs, which were given away during a lucky draw.
The event featured a “Speedwalk” runway where six local content creators modeled the UA SlipSpeed Mega paired with the UA Unstoppable collection, demonstrating the shoe’s adaptability to various styles. Under Armour Ambassador Theebaan Govindasamy praised the shoe’s bounce, while content creators Anson Yew and Adeline Wong highlighted its supportive fit and ease of transition from intense training to casual wear.
Malaysian singer Ismail Izzani also performed at the event, showcasing how the UA SlipSpeed Mega can keep up with a dynamic lifestyle. Decked out in the SlipSpeed Mega and Unstoppable collection, Ismail moved effortlessly through his performance, highlighting the shoe’s flexibility.
The UA SlipSpeed Mega is available at Under Armour Brand House in Pavilion Bukit Bintang starting August 13th for RM699. From August 15th, it will be available at all Under Armour Brand Houses and online at Under Armour Malaysia.
