Entering the tournament as defending champions, Astro battled through tough matches to secure their spot in the final once again, showcasing their consistency and competitive spirit. Although they narrowly missed clinching back-to-back titles, their performance solidifies Astro’s position as one of the top teams in the media badminton scene.

This year’s tournament saw 11 teams competing, including Astro Arena, who made their debut appearance. The matches were played in a round-robin format across two Men’s Doubles and one Mixed Doubles categories, giving every team a chance to shine on court.

While NST ultimately claimed the title, Astro’s determination and teamwork stood out, earning respect from peers and organisers alike. Representing the company’s sportsmanship and camaraderie, Astro’s players fought until the very end.

Other teams that made it to the top spots included Sin Chew Daily in third place, China Press in fourth, and Bernama, who took home the Plate title.
