Talented Malaysian Artist Used 4,219 Screws To Make A Portrait Of Our Health DG

Our Health director-general, Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah is loved by every Malaysian, due to his calmness and humbleness in handling the COVID-19 pandemic and how he had brought Malaysians together in the fight against this terrible virus.

One Malaysian artist, Choong Chee Leong, dedicated an artwork to Dr. Noor Hisham and made a very nice portrait using ONLY screws that he drilled one by one, by hand, onto a piece of wood.

About two weeks ago he posted a video of him sketching a picture of Dr. Noor Hisham and captioned it, “A humble leader. Thank you, Sir. I promise to make an artwork of you and present it to you myself when the MCO is over”.

Well, apparently he kept his word and made a portrait of the Health DG using only screws and it turned out to be beautiful!

The second video he posted (May 2) titled “Drawing With Screws” with the song ‘Standing In The Eyes Of The World’ playing in the background, has gained over 71 thousand views.

Malaysians, of course, loved how the artwork turned out. He also previously did a portrait of Malaysia’s badminton legend and national pride, Datuk Lee Chong Wei using 1900 nails and 8km of string.

We hope that you will be able to meet and present your artwork to Dr. Noor Hisham after the MCO is lifted!
