'Mask On, Spread Hope' Campaign Rekindles Fighting Spirit To Combat Pandemic As Illustrated By The OKU Community

Homegrown mask brand - NEUTROVIS, recently launched the limited-edition PCM x NEUTROVIS t-shirt in conjunction with the commencement of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

The t-shirt was developed as part of NEUTROVIS’ “Mask On, Spread Hope” campaign, reminding the public to always wear effective face masks and comply with the SOPs to combat the pandemic.

The 'Mask On, Spread Hope' campaign was launched with YB Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Domestic Trade & Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP), earlier in May 2021, to raise awareness on the difference between industrial and medical face masks as well as to remind Malaysians to protect themselves and their loved ones by wearing effective face masks at all times.

As part of this CSR effort, NEUTROVIS introduced the PCM x NEUTROVIS t-shirt to provide a medium for the rakyat to get involved and show their support to our local Paralympic athletes as 100% of the proceeds will be directed to the Paralympic Council of Malaysia (PCM) for the development and sustenance of Paralympic athletes.

On top of raising funds for the Paralympic athletes, NEUTROVIS aims to spread a vital message to remind the rakyat that there is always hope amidst tragedy. Although we might be facing many challenges during this pandemic, we can’t let it get to the better of us. We need to keep fighting and pushing forward to bring hope and remind everyone that the end is soon to come, we just need to work together. 

Zayn Puah, Managing Director of Maystar Beauty (NEUTROVIS  brand owner), mentioned that the OKU community (15% of the local population) has been of great inspiration to him especially during this pandemic for they have been battling adversity for most of their lives, yet they do not allow their challenges to be an obstacle.

By bringing this to light, Puah hopes that the rakyat might draw inspiration from their stories and strengthen the fighting spirit as a nation to push through these troubling times together. Aside from this campaign, we have also learnt that NEUTROVIS has recently donated 200,000 pieces of face masks to OKU Central in an effort to increase the vaccination rates for the OKU community.

The t-shirts are designed on a minimalistic approach with vibrant colours and expressive graphics representing athletes with disabilities striving for success at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, and are available in sizes from - XS to 6 XL.
