According to Catster, a cat’s ears, eyes, body postures and even its tail express exactly what a cat is thinking, and how it's feeling. You just have to “listen” to what your cat’s tail is trying to tell you!

#1 Upright and held high

What it means: Confident, happy

How you should respond: Offer playtime, cuddles and treats.

#2 Curled at the top like a question mark

What it means: Friendly

How you should respond: Offer your hand for sniffing, petting.

#3 Straight down

What it means: Frustrated, agitated

How you should respond: Don’t try to pet or engage with your cat. Try to find the reason why your cat is upset.

#4 Curve beneath its body

How you should react: Look away, don’t bother your cat. But give space for it to come to you first.
