“Bored Waiting For The Bus!” Inspiring 14-Year-Old Malaysian Student Cleans Up Litter at Bus Stop

Y Joshua, a diligent secondary school student from Lukut, Port Dickson, has found a remarkable way to spend his spare time. Every day, while waiting for the bus at the bus stop in front of his school, he dedicates himself to collecting garbage and keeping the area clean.

In an interview with Harian Metro, the 14-year-old shared that he began this initiative out of boredom. Instead of idling away his time, he decided to take action and tackle the litter that marred the surroundings.

"Every day, I gather the scattered rubbish in the drains and around the bus stop. It brings me satisfaction because I can contribute something beneficial while simultaneously ensuring the cleanliness of the area," Joshua explained.

Passionate about maintaining a pristine environment, Joshua takes pride in the cleanliness of the bus stop. Despite being a public space where he waits for his daily bus ride home to Taman Sejahtera, Lukut, he treats it with utmost care. While nearby traders offer him water or food as a token of appreciation, Joshua's true purpose is not to seek rewards but to sincerely collect litter and make a positive impact.

Even though Joshua has incorporated this noble routine into his daily life, he holds a heartfelt hope that fellow bus stop visitors will follow his lead and refrain from littering, choosing instead to dispose of their rubbish in the provided bins.

Joshua's commitment and compassionate actions serve as an inspiration to us all. His simple act of cleaning up the bus stop demonstrates the power of individual initiative and the ability to transform a space into a cleaner, more welcoming environment.

Let us applaud Joshua's admirable efforts and be motivated by his example to make a positive difference wherever we go.
