A heartwarming story about the true meaning of family recently touched the hearts of people around the world. Salinah Adelinah, a young Chinese woman, shared a beautiful testament to the love and support she has received from her adoptive parents, Saripah Abu Adam and Ahmad Mohammed Tahir.

Salinah, now 27 years old, was adopted by Saripah and Ahmad when she was just a baby. Despite not being related by blood, Salinah never felt like an outsider in her adoptive family. In fact, she revealed that throughout her entire life, her late parents never once mentioned that she was adopted, regardless of any disagreements or arguments they may have had.
"I have always been their priority," Salinah shared with a sense of gratitude in her voice. "Even though I am not their biological child, they have loved and cared for me unconditionally."
Salinah fondly recounted a special memory from 2013 that exemplified the selflessness of her late mother. At that time, her mother was facing health issues and was no longer running her business. Despite this, she used all the spare change she had to treat Salinah to a meal of chicken rice and cendol, a small but meaningful gesture of love.
"I would do anything for them too," Salinah expressed. "I was even willing to give up my dream of becoming a soldier when they fell ill. I had already been selected for enlistment in 2017, but I put it on hold because my parents needed me."

Sadly, Salinah's mother passed away that same year. However, she is grateful for the opportunity to have been there for her parents during their time of need, even if it meant sacrificing her own aspirations.
Salinah was born in Kuala Lumpur but was welcomed into Saripah and Ahmad's lives when her adoptive mother ran a canteen in a factory. The couple, who had no children of their own, learned about Salinah through their best friend and decided to bring her into their home in Ampang. With the permission of her biological family, Saripah and Ahmad officially registered Salinah as their adopted child, and they eventually moved to Merlimau in Melaka.
Since Saripah's passing, Salinah has been living with Ahmad, who is now 68 years old and faces difficulties with mobility. Salinah is grateful that her husband wholeheartedly accepts and cares for her adoptive father, showcasing the enduring bonds of love and compassion within their family.
This heartwarming story reminds us that family is not solely defined by blood ties. It is a testament to the power of love, acceptance, and the deep connections we can form with those who come into our lives.
