Gannibal
Horror and crime thriller fans, this one's for you. Japanese Original horror series Gannibal chronicles police officer Agawa’s investigations uncovering cannibalism in a rural Japanese village.
The story centers around the Goto family and Agawa, played by Yuya Yagira, as he continues to uncover unexplainable and strange evidence - and the discoveries get better with every episode! If you’re into gore and slasher movies, you’re definitely going to enjoy the cerebral aspects of the production. Yagira won the Asian Excellence Award for his captivating performance in the series, and fans of the show can rejoice as he will be returning for season 2.
Taiwan Crime Stories
Based on real events, the 12-episode anthology series dramatizes four real-life crimes that have happened in the country, with each case spanning three episodes.
The crimes center around the themes of oppression and government involvement, with highlights on religion, family and personal relationships. Taiwan Crime Stories’ Hsueh Shih-Ling also received the award for Best Supporting Actor. You’re sure to enjoy the investigative nature of the stories as it probes to understand the motives behind crimes, while also exploring themes of faith, temptation and obligation.
Unexpected Business
Fans of Moving will be happy to see Zo Insung reunited with co-star Han Hyojoo in the third season of Unexpected Business. While we wait for the new season to premiere on 26 October, watch the first two seasons to follow the adventures of Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung, two men who were born and raised in the city, who take on the challenge of running a grocery store in the countryside for 10 days.

If you’re a fan of gambling crime sagas, you’ll enjoy the thrill of Big Bet. The series marked Choi Min Sik’s first return to the small-screen in over 20 years, and it did not disappoint. Big Bet narrates Choi Min Sik’s character, Moosik, at the peak of his success as a billionaire casino mogul in the Philippines. After being charged for a murder that he did not commit, he faces the ultimate bet with his life on the line to get back in the game.

Tokyo Revengers: Tenjiku Arc and Phoenix: Eden17
Tokyo Revengers season 3 premiered on 4 October and has Anime fans on the edge of their seats. Catch Takemichi yet again as he embarks on an undertaking to trade the past and prevent these activities from occurring.
Season 3 revolves around the arc, named after the rival gang Tenjiku, and delves into Takemichi's journey as he returns and witnesses a series of incidents that result in the tragic loss of life of his friends. Episodes air weekly, with Episode 2 premiering on 11 October.
