The SYOK team recently attended an Avantgardey concert for the first time, and it was an unforgettable experience. Going in, we weren’t sure what to expect—we’d seen their viral TikTok clips but hadn’t delved deeper into their performances.
However, last Sunday night, we decided to give them a chance, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made!
On 22nd December, Avantgardey took the stage at Zepp KL with an 80-minute show, and judging by what we experienced, fans were in for a treat…
As we entered the concert hall, fans were already buzzing with anticipation, and their energy was contagious. It didn’t take long for us to get swept up in the hype.
The moment the girls stepped on stage, we were hooked! Their energy was electric, and their enthusiasm was infectious. Not only did they deliver captivating performances, but they also made an effort to connect with their Malaysian fans. Speaking in Bahasa Melayu, they charmed the audience, and during costume changes, they even held impromptu dance lessons so fans could join in on the next set.
One of the highlights of the night was their rendition of local favourites, including the beloved classic "Rasa Sayang" and De Fam’s "Alamak Raya Lagi!". To top it off, they surprised the audience with a special collaboration featuring Malaysia’s own 3P. It was a performance we couldn’t get enough of!
We walked into the show with no expectations and left with a new favourite group. Avantgardey truly won our hearts, and we can’t wait for them to return to Kuala Lumpur.
