After wrapping up her encore concert in Seoul as part of the 2024 HEREH World Tour in September, IU left a lasting impression on her audience. The concert was a star-studded affair, with South Korean celebrities like members of BTS, Super Junior, NCT, LE SSERAFIM, Stray Kids, TXT, and even the King of K-pop himself, G-DRAGON, in attendance!
On October 1, NCT’s Doyoung held a lively Weverse broadcast to connect with fans and share updates about his activities. Among the various topics he covered, the highlight was undoubtedly his experience at IU’s concert.
When asked about the concert, Doyoung playfully remarked, “How was IU’s concert? Ah, oh no… do you all have time? Because I have a lot to say! Oh, wait, actually, I don’t… I need to catch ‘Culinary Class Wars’!” His light-hearted humour set the tone for his recounting of the event.
He continued, describing IU’s entrance as nothing short of magical: “When IU sunbaenim made her entrance, it felt like she was descending from the heavens! Even though she’s quite petite in real life, in that massive stadium, she seemed larger than life, as if she was saying, ‘Let me show you how it’s done.’ I got goosebumps just looking at the 50,000 fans gathered to celebrate her.”
Though Doyoung had a wealth of thoughts on the individual performances, he had to cut his review short due to time constraints. He summarised his feelings with enthusiasm, saying, “My overall review of IU’s concert is this: a singer with incredible talent, fans who support her wholeheartedly, and a production team that backs both. It was a concert that beautifully matched the singer, her fans, and the entire production.”
Previously, Doyoung had shared snippets of his admiration for IU through the Bubble messaging app, showcasing his fanboy side. Fans are eagerly awaiting a more detailed recount of his experience, hoping for even more insights from the devoted NCT member!
