The organisers, Starex Global Strategy Sdn Bhd, have announced in a statement that the Megacon Kpop Mega Concert, which was supposed to take place this Saturday, May 27 at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon, has been cancelled.
According to them, the concert featuring performances by popular K-pop groups such as Super Junior, Viviz, and Teen Top had to be cancelled at the last minute due to issues related to the artists' flight tickets.
"We regret to inform you that the Mega Kpop Megacon Concert scheduled to take place on May 27, 2023, at Surf Beach, Sunway Lagoon, Kuala Lumpur, has been cancelled due to issues with the Korean artists' flight tickets.
"All ticket holders are entitled to a full refund. Due to the high refund amount, we appreciate your patience with us as we work to retrieve their funds.
"We understand that this decision may cause great inconvenience to our audience, and we sincerely apologise. We hope to see you at our future events," stated the organisers.
The concert was expected to provide an opportunity for fans to see their favourite idols perform live on stage, creating a thrilling and memorable experience.
