On Monday, Henry Cavill announced on his Instagram that he is “back as Superman” following his cameo in the post-credit scene of Black Adam, which grossed over $140 million worldwide in its opening weekend.
“I wanted to wait until the weekend is over, before sharing this because I wanted to give you all an opportunity to see Black Adam.
“But now that so many of you have, I thought I’d make it official: ‘I am back as Superman,’” he said.
The announcement comes after years of speculation and cameos about Superman’s long-awaited return to the DC Universe. While promoting his film, Dwayne Johnson has also been hyping a fight between his anti-hero character, Black Adam and Henry Cavill’s Superman.
“Thank you for your support and patience, I promise it will be rewarded,” said Henry.
We’re so excited for this!
