2019 is coming to an end, and here is a recap of the top videos Malaysians watched on YouTube!
The videos were selected and ranked based on time spent watching, sharing, commenting, and liking, among other things, all based on the actions of viewers in Malaysia.
The top trending video this year was by creators Syahmi Sazki and Alieff Irfan, who have 1 million subscribers on their schannel. Meanwhile, television shows by Astro Ceria, MeleTOP and Anugerah Juara Lagu 33 also made their way on the list!
“Jom Raya” a music video by entrepreneur-turned-singer Dato Aliff Syukri and ‘Baby Sayang’ by Caprice & Mira Filzah were among our favourite songs, with notable mentions by Zukieee and Power Vision, along with highlights from Liverpool’s match against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League making it in the top 10. Football, man. We love our football.
When it came to Top Trending Music Videos, local rapper MeerFly took not one, but two spots on the list! The Malaysian audience loved his songs ‘Haa Tepok’ and ‘BossKu’, while singer Alif Satar cinched a spot in the top three with ‘Sesungguhnya2019’. ‘Keris Sakti’ by Fakhrul Razi, a song from the new Upin & Ipin movie was also a hit!
When it came to international songs, Malaysians also loved chart-topper ‘Kill This Love’ by Blackpink, ‘Señorita’ by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello as well as ‘On My Way’ by Alan Walker, Sabrina Carpenter & Farruko. Local talent Sufian Suhaimi’s live rendition of ‘Di Matamu’ made it too.
