In case you missed it, the Malaysian AIDS Foundation (MAF) has extended the participation deadline for the Red Ribbon Short Film Competition to April 30th!
The project, supported by Yayasan Sime Darby, aims to attract young artistic film enthusiasts and aspire them to generate dialogues within society on the HIV/AIDS epidemic, which continues to remain a public health issue in Malaysia for the past three decades.
By taking part in the contest, the participants will embark on a journey of discovery when they conduct their research on the various issues related to HIV/AIDS and present them in a short film format.
With up to RM6,000 in cash to be won, the contest is open for two categories; secondary school students (13-17 years old) and tertiary education students or public (18-30 years old).
Participants can select either one of the three themes subjected for this competition which are:
- Sexual Transmission
- HIV Treatment and Prevention
- Stigma and Discrimination
Participants may submit their video entries with a maximum of 5 minutes length through YouTube or directly send a download link via WeTransfer by completing the submission form and following specific instructions on the official website.
MAF is also bringing back the People’s Choice Award, where all video submissions from both categories will be voted by the public and the video with the highest social media engagements (likes and shares) will win the award.
