London-based general surgeon Dr Nur Amalina Che Bakri has announced that she’s engaged to her fiance in the UK.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram to share the news, saying she’s excited for her two planned wedding ceremonies - one in the UK and one here in Malaysia.
News of their relationship first broke in 2018 when she posted a picture of them travelling, as Malaysians asked if the man in the pic was someone special.
For those of you who don’t know, Dr Amalina, who is currently practising in the UK, held the record of most 1As scored in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2004, with 17 1As.
She’s very active on her social media, constantly sharing her knowledge and debunking medical myths by sharing facts based on research evidence.
She even runs her own website ‘Ask Dr. Amalina’, which focuses on general health information and current health issues.
Most recently, Dr Amalina was picked to join the UK's first coronavirus vaccine trial team at the Imperial College in London.
