A pair of lovers provide conflicting testimonies in a murder investigation. Only one of them is telling the truth or could they both be lying?
Hazim is a shy and withdrawn delivery guy in his 20s, while Ayang is his bubbly and gregarious neighbour who works as a part-time cleaner for a social media influencer, as well as doing odd jobs which may come her way.
Both characters find themselves being interrogated by an officer, whose task is to investigate the murder of Ayang’s mother.
From the outset, it can be seen that both Hazim and Ayang have mental issues, which become increasingly apparent as the film progresses.
The interrogation of Hazim and Ayang takes place separately and is punctuated by a series of flashbacks… Each of them fueled by their own motive for the murder and it is for the interrogator who is always courteous and solicitous their thoughts on what transpired that fateful night, the lives of the both of them are inraveled in the most bizarre and peculiar way.
As the story unfolds, we soon learn that there’s a fine line that differentiates what is real and what is fake - which also serves as a subtle commentary on the fraught times we live in.
Blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, this film will keep you on the edge of your sets and second guessing everything you see.
