Singapore-based media investment firm based in Toronto, Japan, and Europe, 108 Media, has acquired the international sales rights to “Fearless: Rise of Johor Southern Tigers.”

The production, described as “the first Asian docu-series of its kind” goes behind-the-scenes to spotlight Johor Darul Ta’zim FC or famously known as JDT.
According to Variety, “Fearless” is co-directed by Leon Tan (the producer of War of the Worlds: Goliath) and Tony Pietra Arjuna; and produced by Kuala Lumpur-based Supernova Media, and comprises of five 22-minute episodes with English narration and subtitles.
“The series is ‘the untold story of one of the most admired clubs in the Asian region,” said 108 Media.

Filmed during the 2019/20 season, the series follows the JDT team and their Superfans - the ‘Boys of Straits’ as well as the boardroom politics and the footballers’ struggles on and off the pitch.
CEO of 108 Media, Abhi Rastogi told Broadcast Sport: “We are immensely impressed with the scale of Fearless’s production values, it’s inspirational, narrative value surrounding the sport and its ability to unite an entire region.”
He added, “108 Media is excited to bring this series to audiences around the world and showcase the electric characters within JDT and Asian football.”
The Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris, who set the club on the path to success added, “Some ridiculed our dreams but this exclusive, behind-the-scenes series shows that the Johor football project is really all about and how we have become a force to be reckoned with.”
