Astro is delighted to announce that its Kids Pack will be refreshed for the next generation of Malaysian kids with two exciting new entertainment channels, plus 10,000 On Demand episodes of kids’ favourites shows starting this 15th of December!
Director of Astro Content, Agnes Rozario said: “We welcome Boomerang (CH619) and Nick Jr. (CH617) to our family. There two great channels will join Cartoon Network (CH615 HD/CH635) and Nickelodeon (CH616 HD/CH636) on the Kids Pack, and will complement Baby TV (CH618), Astro Xiao Tai Yang (CH304 HD/CH344), Chutti TV (CH213), Astro Tutor TV (CH601/CH602/CH603), Astro TVIQ (CH610), and of course, Malaysia’s no. 1 kids entertainment brand, Astro Ceria (CH611 HD/CH631).
“Kids can look forward to pre-school favourite Nick Jr. (CH617) with global hits like Paw Patrol, Dora the Explorer, Top Wings, Shimmer and Shine and Blue’s Clues & You, whilst Boomerang (CH619), with its multi-generational appeal, is the home of hit shows such as Mr. Bean: The Animated Series, My Little Pony: Pony Life, Scooby-doo! Guess Who?, The Tom & Jerry Show, The Looney Tunes Show and Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures.”

...but wait, there’s more! All Astro customers can enjoy a new pop-up channel, FAMtv (CH100) from 15 December onwards. FAMtv promises something the whole family can enjoy with Malaysia’s favourites such as Running Man, Mr. Bean, Doraemon, Phua Chu Kang, Crayon Sin Chan, Dexter’s Laboratory, Kampung Boy, and more!
Meanwhile, Rozario said that Disney has notified all its Southeast Asia partners that it will be discontinuing Disney XD HD (CH612) on December 31st, 24:00 hours. And as part of this upcoming refresh of Astro’s Kids Pack, Disney Channel HD (CH614 HD/CH634) and Disney Junior HD (CH613) will also cease broadcast on Astro’s network on 31st December, 24:00 hours.
