The members of 2NE1 have shown that their bond remains as strong as ever, both with each other and with their fans.
In the October 23rd episode of tvN's variety show You Quiz on the Block (episode 266), 2NE1’s Park Bom, Sandara Park, CL, and Minzy made a special appearance. During the show, CL reflected on their reunion, explaining how difficult it was to align schedules after the group disbanded. “Even meeting for a simple meal required a lot of planning,” she said.
However, it was their youngest member Minzy’s birthday that became the reason for them to reconnect, leading to an annual tradition. She added, “That’s why it felt so natural for me to invite all the members to Coachella in 2022.”
Minzy shared her excitement over the group’s 15th-anniversary celebrations, saying, “We really wanted to gift our fans something special. During our final pose, seeing all four of us together in the mirror felt incredibly emotional.”
Sandara Park also expressed how unforgettable the experience was: “It became an emotional party right from the start. The energy from our fans was incredible, and performing felt like being in a dream. I saw posts from fans who couldn’t attend our shows as students back then, but now they proudly said, ‘I bought my own ticket with my salary.’ That was so heartwarming.”
2NE1, who debuted in 2009 with iconic hits like "Lollipop," "Fire," and "I Am the Best," disbanded in 2016. Yet, in 2022, they made headlines with a surprise reunion performance at Coachella. Following that, YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk announced their 15th-anniversary concert and a global tour, starting with their show in Seoul’s Olympic Hall this October.
