This brings the total number of doses administered in the country at over 16 million as of yesterday.

This figure exceeds the benchmark set for Phase One of the National Recovery Plan, to have 10% of the country fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister says the country is edging closer to having half of its adult population jabbed at least once with a Covid-19 vaccine.

46.7% of the country's adult population have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and 21.8% have received both doses, says Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Malaysia has been trying to achieve around half a million daily vaccinations in order to meet the government’s target of immunising the country’s entire population against Covid-19 by October.

If you haven’t registered for the vaccine, you can do so via the MySejahtera app or the official vaccination website.
