There’s a moral of the story at the end of this but we’re not sure if it’s a good thing or bad. We’ll let you decide.

A thief broke into the storeroom of a PPE centre in Haryana, India. It was reported that the stolen items were 1,710 doses of the coronavirus vaccine (1,270 doses of the Covishield and 440 doses of COVAXIN). Bad thing to do.

However, when the thief opened the bag and found out that he had stolen the COVID vaccines, he left the bad at a tea stall outside a nearby police station with an apology note. Good thing to do? Keep reading...

182 doses of Covishield and 440 doses of COVAXIN were recovered from the lot. The police said that the man allegedly handed the bag over to the tea stall owner and asked him to return the bag to the officers. No vaccines were found missing and the department of police is now trying to identify the thief.

Civil surgeon, Dr. Manjeet Singh said that it seems the thief came to steal Remdesivir, the medicine to treat COVID-19, but instead took away the two types of vaccine. Uff, tough luck.

So now, should the thief be punished for stealing or should his act of turning over a new leaf be acknowledged?
