KJ spoke in Mandarin during a press conference and said: “Good day, everyone. I just got my dose of the Sinovac vaccine and as you can see, now my Mandarin has improved.”

According to Astro AWANI, he also encouraged others to get vaccinated, and being the quirky guy that he is, he had to share the message in Mandarin.

大家好。 我刚打了Sinovac 疫苗。我想说,这是安全的。我感觉很好。中文也突然变好。无论是哪一种疫苗,都是安全的。让我们一起打败病毒。保护自己,保护大家!

“My name is Khairy Jamaluddin and I just got the Sinovac vaccine. I believe that the vaccine is safe and I am feeling good. But, my Chinese is suddenly better. Just know that the vaccine is safe, so let’s beat the virus together. If you protect yourself, you protect everyone,” he said.

If only the vaccine could actually help us improve our Mandarin - that would be a bonus!

The COVID-19 vaccines are safe, guys! Have some faith in science and register yourself today to get vaccinated against the virus.
