If you were browsing through your online shopping platforms and saw the COVID-19 vaccine being sold, you didn’t seriously believe it, did you?
 
Recently, an image of a Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine being sold for over RM60 per vial on Shopee was recently posted, but to no surprise, the listing is fake!
 
The photo was going viral on social media, and Shopee has confirmed that it found no such listing on their platform.
 
“We can confirm that we have not found any similar listing on Shopee. The author of the tweet has since confirmed that the image was doctored and indeed fake,” Shopee said in an official statement.
 
Shopee also reminded the public that the National Immunisation Program is a serious matter, and it should not be trivialised.
 
“We wish to remind everyone that spreading false information on the vaccine is being monitored by the Royal Malaysian Police and MCMC,” it added.

Please be reminded that only the Ministry of Health (MOH) is authorised to supply COVID-19 vaccines in Malaysia - Sales or distribution through other channels are strictly not allowed, and vaccines that are offered in the market could be fake or come from an unknown source.
 
If you’ve yet to register to get vaccinated, you can do so via MySejahtera (Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Huawei App Gallery), or register at vaksincovid.gov.my, or call the hotline at 1-800-888-828.
 
Guys, seriously! Did MOH really have to waste its time telling you this?
