Just as Malaysians waited for MCO 2.0 to end (Feb 4), the country recorded a new record of 5,725 COVID-19 cases today, Jan 29, 2021.

1,631 new cases along with 16 deaths were reported.

Taking a look at yesterday’s cases, which were at 4,094, the numbers seem to be increasing rapidly at the moment, especially in Selangor.

Over half of the cases, precisely 3,126 new cases were all from Selangor.

Here’s the breakdown by states.

The Ministry of Health announced today that there’s currently a total of 45,478 active cases.

Keeping everyone’s safety in mind, we’d like to remind you to please stay home as much as possible and take necessary precautions if you have to head out.

Wear your masks and maintain good hygiene. Let’s hope the numbers will go down in February.
