Schools around the world have been cancelled to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and students from a school in Japan have decided to take things into their own hands for their graduation ceremony, literally!

A tweet recently went viral after a father posted a picture of an assembly hall created in the game Minecraft.

The students were seen gathering at the assembly hall with the stage decorated along with the word “summer” on it where they worked on themselves instead of the elementary school!

The father asked his son what he was doing, and the son answered, “we all decided to have a graduation ceremony together.”

“They spent all day online together playing games and laughing. I’m glad they all had fun,” the father said in another tweet.

Netizens praised the kids for their creativity and that amidst the sad news related to COVID-19 everyday, it’s nice to see something so wholesome.

We hope that all the students will be able to return to school after the pandemic is over, and to do that we all have to stay home and stop the spread of the virus!
