Children Over 12 Can Now Register For The COVID-19 Vaccine!

Moms and dads, you can now register your children for the COVID-19 vaccination programme.

Previously, the MySejahtera app only allowed family members to register dependents who are above 18-years-old, but now the app is allowing parents to add their children as their dependents.
But remember, once registered as a dependent, the details of the individual cannot be registered on a different MySejahtera account.
According to The Star, the move to immunise children and teenagers comes after the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency’s (NPRA) recent approval for the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for children aged at least 12.
It is also in line with the fifth phase of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme to begin immunising those in that age group by August.
