Wait! Walk-In Vaccination For Senior Citizens Hasn’t Started Yet

Jul 16, 2021

If you or someone you know is over 60 and about to head out for vaccinations without an appointment today, please don’t go.

Yes, we are aware that Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Adham Baba had said yesterday (July 15) that the pilot walk-in programme would begin immediately for seniors in the Klang Valley.

However, the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force says they are still in the midst of planning for the initiative.

“It is important to plan the timing of these walk-ins to avoid congestion, especially for the elderly as the number of Covid-19 cases is increasing.”

So, please wait for further announcements on these walk-in vaccinations before heading out to the PPVs.

But, this initiative is something to look forward to, after all it will be expanded to other states in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry noted that industrial vaccination centres could start operating 24 hours a day in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Seremban.

While you wait for more details on this, if you haven’t already registered for vaccination, you can do so via the MySejahtera app or the official vaccination website https://www.vaksincovid.gov.my/
